With MC, cast on an even number of stitches.
Row 1 (set up row): With MC, K. *K. YO, Sl1p. Rep from * to end of row. Slide sts to other end of needle.
Row 2 (set up row): With CC, K. YO, *Sl1p. YO, BRP. Rep from * to last st. Bring yarn to back and k last st. Turn.
Row 3: With MC, K. YO, *Sl1p. YO, BRP. Rep from * to last st. Bring yarn to back and k last st. Slide sts to other end of needle.
Row 4: With CC, K. BRK, *YO, Sl1p, BRK. Rep from * to end of row. Turn.
Row 5: With MC, K. BRK, *YO, Sl1p, BRK. Rep from * to end of row. Slide sts to other end of needle.
Row 6: With CC, K. YO *Sl1p. BRP. Rep from * to last st. Bring yarn to back and k last st. Turn.
Repeat: Rep rows 3 through 6 until project measures the length you want, ending on a 4th row.
Bind Off: Start the bind off on a 5th row. Bind off in pattern. Instead of slipping one purlwise, purl instead and bind it off.
