I want to personally thank everyone who participated and sent in a baby blanket to Warm Up America this year for a newborn in need. Together as a community, we sent 201 blankets to Warm Up America as a result of this challenge!

FOR WARM UP AMERICA
We love using our crochet and knitting skills to help others in our yearly Crochet Challenge for Warm Up America. We hope you’ll join us this year!
About the Challenge
The Crochet Challenge for Warm Up America is our yearly crochet-along at B.Hooked. Every year, hundreds of people, just like you, gather to create a handmade gift for someone in need. Warm Up America selects a new organization each year to receive the handmade gifts from challenge participants.
This is how it works…
Step 1: One week before the official start of the challenge, participants get a sneak peek of the pattern and the complete list of supplies they’ll need to finish it. We’ll also provide you with the mailing deadline to complete the challenge.
Step 2: On the official start date of the challenge, participants get access to the free pattern and tutorial. No need to sign up!
Step 3: Participants work on their challenge project and send it to Warm Up America by the challenge mailing deadline.
Step 4: Warm Up America gets the projects and takes them to the organization picked for that year.
Every year, we make a new challenge Facebook group where participants can help and encourage each other. It’s also a fantastic spot to display your work on the challenge project!

Who Is Warm Up America?
Warm Up America is the charity that B.Hooked has chosen to support every year. It was founded in 1992, and serves as a much-needed collection point for afghan sections, and full projects for distribution to the homeless and persons in need.
Warm Up America welcomes donations all year. So, if you missed this year’s challenge, couldn’t finish your project on time, or simply have a bunch of handmade goodies to donate, think about sending them to Warm Up America.
WUA’s Current Donation Needs
Warm Up America accepts 7″ x 9″ knit and crochet sections, finished afghans and accessories year-round. However, sometimes they have specific needs that require help from this amazing community.
