introduction
About this Pattern
If you’re looking for an interesting and unique knit scarf pattern, our brioche knit scarf is a great place to start. You’ll use a self-striping yarn to make it more visually interesting without the hassle of adding new yarn and weaving in tons of ends.
With this project you’ll get to practice the single color brioche, a stitch pattern that’s reversible, doesn’t curl and is incredibly lofty and stretchy. It’s worked in rows and blocked at the end to give it the perfect shape. Our tutorial will walk you through the entire process.
Before you begin, review this page entirely so you understand the full scope of the project. We have a list of recommended supplies and abbreviations here on this page as well as written instructions and a tutorial to walk you through our brioche knit scarf step-by-step.

FAQ: Can I use a different yarn?
Sure, as long as it’s in the same weight category. Check your gauge and adjust as needed so the sizing comes out right. The recommended yarn amount will likely be different too.
