And don’t worry if the pattern looks more detailed than you think you can handle—these slipper socks are easier to crochet than they seem! If you’ve completed a few projects and understand basic pattern reading, you’ll be just fine. Plus, there’s a video tutorial to help if you need it.

Recommended Supplies
- About 225 yds Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick
- 6.5 mm Crochet hook
- Yarn Needle
- Scissors
One of my favorite yarns to work with is Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick. It’s incredibly warm, comes in a fun variety of color options, and is readily available at many craft stores. In the pictures, I used the colors “Spice Market” and “Hudson Bay”.
If you can’t find this yarn or you prefer to use something you already have, look for another super bulky (#6) yarn, preferably something with wool content if you don’t have an allergy. Wool content helps to keep them stretchy, breathable, and strong.

Pattern Notes
These crochet slipper socks are worked from the toe up with a built-in heel. If you’re new to post stitches, this pattern is a great way to learn! The entire foot portion of the slipper sock uses post stitches.
Gauge: To check your gauge, crochet the first 2 rounds of the toe. It should measure about 2.75″ in diameter. If needed, adjust your hook size to make sure your first 2 rounds match the diameter so your slipper socks turn out the right size.

Finished Size: Fits a 7″-9″ foot circumference and 9″ foot length; 4″ upper.
These slipper socks come in one size that fits most adults, thanks to the stretchiness around the foot. Before you start, measure the ball of your foot (while standing) to make sure it’s between 7″-9″ in circumference. If it is, they should fit without adjustments.

If your foot circumference is larger than 9″, I recommend using a 7 mm crochet hook (or one size bigger than the hook you used to obtain gauge) for your slipper socks.
You can also add or subtract rounds in the foot length for a custom fit.
